ZIPCovers manufactures custom tarps to your exact measurements in industrial vinyl and mesh fabrics: 18 oz Tarp Armor, 12 oz Tarp Shield, and 9 oz Tarp Mesh Armor. Order any length and width, any diameter, or send us an irregular shape. Every tarp is cut to your numbers, sealed with heat-welded seams, and fitted with the grommet spacing, welded D-rings, perimeter webbing, or sewn-in chain the job calls for. Warranty runs 5 to 7 years depending on fabric weight, and every order ships across the USA.

Tarps Cut to Your Numbers, Not to a Stock Size

Stock tarps come in a short list of sizes. Equipment doesn't. A 20 x 30 tarp over an 18-foot load leaves fabric hanging where the wind gets under it; the next size down leaves an edge exposed to every rain that comes through. Either way, you bungee-cord a compromise and replace it next season.

Custom size tarps remove the guesswork. Give us length and width in feet and inches, or a diameter for anything round, and we cut to those numbers, with an extra inch or two of leeway if you want a looser drape. The finished tarp is the size you ordered, hem included. Tarps made to order for construction sites, flatbeds and dump trailers, machinery yards, tanks, lumber and hay stacks, boats, patios, and athletic fields.

Choose Your Tarp Fabric by the Job

Fabric is the first decision, and weight is most of it: weight decides how long a tarp lives outdoors and how easily one person handles it. Here's what's available in this range.

• Tarp Armor — 18 oz (610 gsm) PVC-coated fabric, 22 mil thick, 1000 denier. Our heaviest fabric. Tear-, abrasion-, oil- and grease-resistant, cold-crack resistant to -20°F, 100% waterproof, 7-year warranty. Choose it for permanent outdoor exposure, highway hauling, and anything dragged, folded, and re-rigged every week.

• Tarp Shield — 12 oz (410 gsm) PVC-coated fabric, 15 mil thick. Same 100% waterproof barrier and welded seams, in a fabric one person can fold and carry alone. 5-year warranty. Choose it for seasonal covering, field and court covers, and anything deployed and pulled back regularly.

• Tarp Mesh Armor — 9 oz (300 gsm) black PVC-coated mesh, 25 mil thick, 60% shade factor. It breathes instead of sealing, so it won't balloon at highway speed or flap itself apart in wind, while still holding debris down and cutting the sun. Choose it for dump trucks and trailers, patio shade, and scaffold screens.

Rectangle, Square, Round, or Whatever You Sketch

Rectangle and square tarps are ordered by length x width. Round tarps are ordered by diameter and cut as a true circle, not a square with the corners folded under, which is what makes them sit flat on tanks, fire pits, hot tubs, pitching mounds, and round patio tables.

Grommets, D-Rings, Webbing, and Chain

A custom outdoor tarp fails at its edges long before the fabric gives out. The hardware:

• Brass grommets — rustproof, set into a reinforced hem. Four corners only for a light cover, or spaced at approximately 24, 18, or 12 inches around the perimeter. Tighter spacing means more tie-down points and better tension control in wind.

• Welded D-rings — at approximately 24-inch or 12-inch spacing, for ratchet straps and bungee runs that pull harder than a grommet is meant to take.

• 1.5" reinforced webbing — sewn around the full perimeter. The webbing takes the load instead of the fabric, so grommets don't pull through. Optional on most tarps, standard on our sports covers, and strongly recommended for anything traveling at highway speed.

• Galvanized perimeter chain — sewn into the hem on weighted mound tarps. The tarp holds itself down: no sandbags, no stakes, no trip hazards, and one person can deploy it.

How to Measure and Order

1. Measure the object or area at its longest and widest points, including anything protruding.

2. Add overhang: 6 to 12 inches per side for general covering, 12 to 24 inches for high-wind sites. For tall loads, add twice the height to your base dimensions.

3. For round tarps, measure the diameter at the widest point and add overhang to both sides.

4. Choose your fabric weight, grommet spacing, and whether you want perimeter webbing.

5. Enter your dimensions in the customizer for live pricing, then order. We cut, weld, hem, and ship across the USA.
