Custom PVC Vinyl Tarps Cut to Your Measurements

Vinyl is what you order when the covering has to be genuinely waterproof and stay that way for years. Our custom vinyl tarps are PVC-coated polyester: a high-denier scrim sealed on both faces with PVC, so the barrier is part of the fabric rather than a finish sprayed on top. Seams are heat-welded instead of stitched, leaving no needle holes for water to work through. Available in 18 oz Tarp Armor and 12 oz Tarp Shield, cut to your length and width or to a diameter. Why PVC Vinyl Instead of Poly or Canvas

These materials aren't ranked on one scale. They solve different problems, and the honest comparison is about which problem you have.

• Polyethylene (poly) tarps — woven polyethylene with a laminated finish, 3 to 6 oz. Inexpensive and fine for short-term jobs, but the laminate splits, the weave frays at the grommets, and UV makes it brittle. A consumable rather than an asset.

• Canvas tarps — breathable and abrasion-tolerant, which is right when the covered item needs air movement and you're guarding against dust, sparks, or sun rather than standing water. Water-resistant, not waterproof.

• PVC vinyl tarps — impermeable rather than resistant. Water does not pass through PVC at any pressure, oil and grease wipe off the surface, and the coating shields the scrim from UV and abrasion. The trade is breathability: vinyl seals, so moisture already underneath has nowhere to go.

If the job is keeping water out for years, vinyl is the material. Custom PVC tarps also hold shape and tension far better than poly, which is what makes them worth cutting to size.

What Welded Seams Do That Stitching Can't

On a made-to-measure tarp, panels have to be joined. A stitched seam puts a line of needle holes through the waterproof coating and relies on thread that UV degrades. Our seams are heat-welded: the PVC faces fuse into one continuous piece, with no holes and no thread to fail. That's why waterproof vinyl tarps made to order hold up under standing water where a stitched tarp weeps along every line.

Two Weights in the Same Fabric Family

• Tarp Armor — 18 oz (610 gsm) PVC-coated fabric, 22 mil thick. The heavier coating for permanent exposure, rough handling, and hard winters. 7-year warranty.

• Tarp Shield — 12 oz (410 gsm) PVC-coated fabric, 15 mil thick. The same impermeable barrier in a fabric one person can fold and re-deploy alone. 5-year warranty.

Grommets, D-Rings, and Webbing

Rustproof brass grommets at the four corners or spaced at approximately 24, 18, or 12 inches. Welded D-rings where straps will be pulled hard. Optional 1.5" reinforced webbing sewn around the perimeter, which moves tension into the webbing instead of the coated fabric.
