Fall-Proof Your Patio: Get 20% OFF, Use Code: WELCOME20

Description

A solid tarp on a moving trailer catches wind like a sail. This rectangle and square mesh tarp is cut to the length and width you enter in Tarp Mesh Armor, an open weave that sheds wind pressure instead of fighting it — which is why it stays flat and secure on dump trucks and trailers at highway speed.

The same fabric works just as well stationary, stretched flat as a patio or canopy shade screen, where the 60% shade factor cuts direct sun while keeping air moving underneath. Whether you're after a shade mesh tarp custom cut for a patio or a dump truck mesh tarp custom rectangle for hauling, it's the same fabric doing both jobs.

Why Choose Our Mesh Tarps?

Built to stay put at highway speed
The open weave sheds wind pressure through the fabric instead of catching it like a solid cover.

Shade without trapping heat
60% shade factor blocks direct sun while air keeps moving underneath.

Holds debris, lets moisture escape
Tight enough to stop cargo blow-off, open enough that trapped moisture has somewhere to go.

Backed by ZIPCushions
The same made-to-measure standard behind 75,000+ homes and a 4.9-star Google rating.
This is our custom mesh tarps rectangle build, and the same fabric works equally well hauling or standing still.

How to Measure Your Mesh Tarp

Step 1 - Length and width
Measure your trailer bed, dump body, or canopy opening at the outer edges.

Step 2 - Add overhang
A few inches so the tarp secures past the rail or frame.

Step 3 - Choose your hardware
Add reinforced webbing if the tarp will travel at highway speed.

Fabric Information

This rectangle and square mesh tarp is Tarp Mesh Armor, built for airflow rather than a solid seal.

Tarp Mesh Armor — 9 oz PVC-coated mesh

300 gsm, 25 mil, black, 60% shade factor. The open weave lets wind pass through the fabric instead of pushing against a solid surface, which is why it stays flat and secure on moving trailers where a solid tarp would balloon.

Rustproof brass grommets at the four corners as standard, or spaced at approximately 24, 18, or 12 inches for more tie-down points. Welded D-rings at 24 or 12 inches for ratchet straps. For anything traveling at highway speed, add 1.5" reinforced webbing around the perimeter — it's the single upgrade that keeps grommets from working loose over repeated hauls.

As a breathable rectangular tarp, it's built to move air rather than seal it out.

Frequently Asked Questions

For dump trucks and trailers, prioritize an open weave with enough tensile strength to handle sustained highway wind — our 9 oz Tarp Mesh Armor at 60% shade is built for exactly that. For patio and canopy shade screens, the same fabric works flat and stationary, cutting sun while keeping air moving underneath.
Yes — that's its primary job on a hauling application. The weave is tight enough to hold back loose material, dirt, and debris while staying open enough that wind passes through rather than lifting the whole cover.
Yes, and it performs just as well stationary as it does on a moving trailer. As a patio or canopy shade screen, the 60% shade factor blocks most direct sun while the open weave keeps the covered area from trapping heat. That's exactly what makes it a practical breathable rectangular tarp for stationary use too.
Brass grommets at the corners or spaced around the perimeter, with welded D-rings for ratchet straps, and 1.5\" reinforced webbing sewn around the edge for anything running at highway speed — the webbing is what keeps repeated hauls from working the grommets loose.
The PVC coating on each strand carries UV stabilizers, so it resists fading under regular exposure. Because the weave is open rather than a solid surface, it also doesn't build up the same heat stress a solid tarp does in constant sun.
Custom configurations with a solid section are possible — send your dimensions and where you'd want the solid panel positioned, and we'll confirm feasibility before production.
