• Pop each pad off its stool and strip the old cover — measure bare foam only.
• Round pads: measure the diameter across the middle twice, at right angles, and average.
• Square pads: measure width and depth edge to edge.
• Measure the thickness at the pad's side — stool pads run thin, so be exact.
• Measure every stool in the set separately; matching stools rarely have matching pads.
