Fall-Proof Your Patio: Get 20% OFF, Use Code: WELCOME20
The clipped bolster is the tailored cousin of the straight back cushion: instead of a level top, its profile is cut away at an angle, taller at the back and shorter at the front. Designers use it where a backrest border should hold support without blocking the view — yacht cockpits, banquette runs, low lounge walls. A custom clipped bolster cushion cover reproduces that profile from your five measurements, slope and all.
Generic covers are this shape's natural enemy. A level-topped cover forced over clipped foam either tents across the slope or crushes the tall side down to match the short one — both erase the line the cushion was bought for. Five numbers take two extra minutes to measure and preserve the whole design.
In spray range, a waterproof clipped bolster cushion cover in Horizon shrugs off wake and weather alike. Wherever it borders, a replacement clipped bolster cushion cover renews hand-shaped foam for a fraction of what the original upholsterer charged.
Detail pieces deserve matching neighbors — explore the entire cushion cover collection in the same fabric range.
Why Choose Our Custom Clipped Bolster Cushion Covers?
Five Numbers Describe the Whole Profile
Length, two heights, two widths — that's the complete geometry of a clipped bolster. The pattern honors each one, so the slope angle you own is the slope angle you keep.
A Slope Sewn as Its Own Panel
The clipped top isn't fabric stretched between two heights — it's a dedicated panel seamed at both edges. That construction is why the angle stays sharp through seasons of leaning.
Specified for the Spray Zone
Yacht borders and pool-edge banquettes live with mist, splash, and glare. Marine-grade fabric, sealed hardware, and fiber-locked color are the required equipment — and the standard build.
Support in Front, Sightline Behind
The shape exists so a backrest can do its job without walling off the view. A faithful cover keeps the front tall enough to support and the profile low enough to see over.
Hardware on the Base Line
The zipper hides beneath the cushion where it meets the seat — no metal against backs, nothing visible along the border, and the coil stays out of the sun and spray.
Step-by-Step Measuring Guide
• Strip off the old cover and prop the bare foam upright, the way it borders the seat.
• Run the tape along the base for the full length.
• Measure the back height, then the front height — the difference between them is your clip.
• Measure the bottom width at the base, then the top width where the taper finishes.
• Check all five numbers against the foam once more before entering them.
A clipped bolster is a back-border cushion with its top corner sliced away: the back stands taller than the front, and the top plane slopes — clips — down between them, while the body also tapers from a wider base to a narrower top. Five measurements describe all of it: length, back height, front height, bottom width, and top width. We pattern the sloped top as its own panel and cut the tapered sides as a matched pair, which is what keeps the clip looking machined instead of slumped.
The shape's address book explains the fabric bar: clipped bolsters border yacht benches, frame banquettes, and run along lounge backrests — sun-heavy, spray-adjacent territory. Horizon meets it with marine-grade waterproofing and a face that wipes clean of salt and sunscreen; Canvas offers the woven, solution-dyed alternative for drier installs. Sunbrella's 5-year limited warranty rides on both.
The zipper runs the base line, under the cushion's own footprint — shielded from weather, invisible in place, and corrosion-resistant for the marine settings this shape calls home.
• The clipped profile kept: taller at the back, sloping down to a shorter front
• Five order fields — length, back height, front height, bottom width, top width
• Sunbrella Horizon marine vinyl or solution-dyed Sunbrella Canvas
• Borders yacht seating, banquettes, and lounge backrest runs
• The angled top is sewn as its own panel, so the slope stays crisp
• Corrosion-resistant YKK zipper along the base, out of sight and spray
• 5-year limited warranty on either fabric
Great covers, just as advertised
Great waterproof material and made to spec.
The material is good quality. The fit is not good, despite their website requiring a number of different measurements. Part of me suspects the website photos were generated by AI, as they’re almost too perfect.
I just received my order. I am very happy with the product.
It fits perfectly. Please let the people who created the cover know; they did a great job.
Here's a picture. I hope the material will last a long time against the sun. Just keep in mind that it does take 4-6 weeks so be very patient unlike me. haha. totally worth it
The tie downs at the corners were not long enough to latch together. Otherwise the build quality was very high.
I ordered a right arm love seat cover, left arm love seat cover and an ottoman cover in the higher end fabric. With a discount code, all 3 were a little over $300. The covers are perfect and the quality of the fabric is…..well, let’s just say it’ll probably outlive me! They’re very heavy duty and totally waterproof. Craftsmanship is excellent.
Customer service was A+. I had questions about measuring and some concerns about shipping. I used the chat option for questions about measurements and it was a REAL person, not a bot. He was friendly and personable. They also contacted me to verify some things about my measurements. When I contacted both sales and customer service via email with a question, they responded within hours. They’re constructed in another country and it took about 6 weeks from order to delivery. The delay was FedEx customs.
Bottom line, they are excellent covers at an extremely fair price that fit perfectly, will last forever and are a very friendly, responsive, competent company to work with.
Not waterproof. After getting 1/2” of rain over a few hours the cushions were very wet when the cover was taken off the next day. Not sure how this happened with a “waterproof “ cover. Does not appear to be breathable as they claim. Very disappointed.
If it’s perfectly, it’s great quality, and they were quite timely.
This grill cover has survived several storms without shifting. The material feels premium and still looks flawless after months outdoors.
This grill cover sits perfectly around the edges and feels incredibly durable. Water does not linger on the surface and the handles make it simple to remove. Excellent quality.
