Fall-Proof Your Patio: Get 20% OFF, Use Code: WELCOME20

Description

A rectangle tarp folded over a round tank or fire pit leaves loose corners for wind to catch and water to pool in. This tarp is cut as an actual circle from the diameter you enter, so the hem runs continuously with no bunched fabric anywhere around the edge.

That's what makes it sit flat against round tanks, hot tubs, fire pits, grain bins, and any equipment with a circular footprint — the tension is even all the way around instead of concentrated at four folded points. It's built the same way whether you need a round outdoor waterproof tarp for a patio structure or a round industrial tarp custom size for a storage tank.

Why Choose Our Round Heavy Duty Tarps?

A true circle, not a trimmed square
No folded corners means no place for wind to get a grip or water to collect.

Tighter spacing where it counts
A circular hem has no straight run to hold its shape, so we offer grommet spacing down to 12 inches for even tension around the whole curve.

A fabric weight for how it's used
18 oz for equipment that never comes down, 12 oz for a cover that's lifted on and off by hand.

Backed by ZIPCushions
The same made-to-measure standard behind 75,000+ homes and a 4.9-star Google rating.
This is our custom round heavy duty tarps build, cut the same way regardless of the equipment it ends up covering.
Need a center hole for a pole or vent? Send your outer diameter plus the opening's size and position and we'll draft the pattern before cutting. Covering something rectangular instead? See our Heavy Duty Custom Tarps - Rectangle/Square.

How to Measure Your Round Tarp

Step 1 - Diameter
Measure straight across the widest point of what you're covering — not around the circumference.

Step 2 - Add overhang
Add 6 to 12 inches for general use, or 12 to 24 inches for exposed or windy sites.

Step 3 - Choose your fabric and hardware
Pick 18 oz for permanent outdoor exposure or 12 oz for easier seasonal handling, then choose grommet spacing. Enter your finished diameter for an instant price.

Fabric Information

This round tarp is available in either of our two solid coated fabrics, cut as an actual circle rather than a square with the corners trimmed.

Tarp Armor — 18 oz, year-round

18 oz (610 gsm, 22 mil) PVC-coated fabric. Abrasion- and oil-resistant, cold-crack resistant to -20°F, 7-year warranty. The specification for round tanks, silos, and machinery that stay outdoors permanently.

Tarp Shield — 12 oz, easy handling

12 oz (410 gsm, 15 mil) PVC-coated fabric, fully waterproof, light enough for one person to lift on and off. 5-year warranty. Suits fire pits, hot tubs, and seasonal round covers.

Both are heat-welded rather than stitched, with the hem carrying tension evenly around the full circumference. Rustproof brass grommets are set at four points by default, or spaced at approximately 24, 18, or 12 inches for more tie-down points — tighter spacing matters more on a round hem than a straight edge. Welded D-rings and 1.5" reinforced webbing are both available.

Every circular heavy duty tarp custom order — large or small — is cut and hemmed the same way, as a true circle rather than a squared panel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Order it by diameter rather than length and width — measure the widest point, add your overhang, and the panel is cut and hemmed as an actual circle rather than a square with the corners folded under, so it sits flat with a smooth perimeter.
Measure straight across the widest point, not around the circumference. For a tank that isn't a perfect circle, measure the widest point in two directions and use the larger number, or send us both and we'll confirm the cut.
A rectangle tarp has straight edges that hold their shape between grommets. A circular hem has no straight run, so wider grommet spacing leaves more of the curve unsecured. Spacing at 18 or 12 inches keeps the tension even all the way around instead of concentrating stress at just four points. Every circular heavy duty tarp custom order, large or small, follows the same construction.
Yes — send your outer diameter and the center hole diameter and position, and we'll draft the pattern before cutting. This is common for tarps covering equipment or structures with a mast, pole, or vent running through the middle.
There's no fixed size ceiling — large-diameter round tarps for grain bins, tanks, and industrial equipment are made from the same fabric, seamed and welded together for spans wider than the fabric roll. Enter your diameter in the customizer and it will confirm feasibility and price.
18 oz Tarp Armor if the tank or equipment stays outdoors year-round — the added abrasion resistance and cold-crack rating to -20°F matter most on something that's rarely moved. 12 oz Tarp Shield suits a round cover that's removed and replaced seasonally, like a fire pit or hot tub lid.
