Description

Certain colors change what a space is for. Hang a Sunbrella Expand Calypso outdoor curtain on a pool cabana or patio bar and the area stops being landscaping and starts being a destination — the corner of the yard that feels like a resort transplanted.

Calypso Sunbrella drapes thrive next to water, white plaster, bleached wood, and lime or coral accents. In a gray-hardscape suburb, one calypso bay works like a passport stamp. Keep surrounding fabric neutral; this blue doesn't need reinforcements.

Why Choose This Curtain?

Vacation Color, Verified Fit

Bright fabric hanging wrong looks like a tarp. Each panel is sewn to the width and drop you measure, so the tropical blue arrives fitted, level, and clearly on purpose.

Tropical Blue on Permanent Duty

Vivid blues are the fastest to chalk in surface-dyed fabric. Calypso's pigment is spun through every strand of acrylic and carries the 5-year colorfast warranty — the postcard color doesn't expire.

Poolside Chemistry, Handled

Chlorinated splash beads off the highly water-repellent finish before it marks, the fabric resists staining and water spots, and the dimensional weave dries quickly in moving air. A hose rinse restores the shine.

Fabric Information

Calypso is the blue of shallow water over white sand — vivid, tropical, unapologetic — and the Expand weave gives it a dimensional surface that shifts slightly as light moves across the panel. Saturation like this is exactly what surface-dyed fabric can't keep; here the pigment enters the liquid acrylic before each strand is spun, so the blue is structural, not cosmetic. Sunbrella warrants the shade colorfast for 5 years.

Each Sunbrella Expand Calypso outdoor curtain is cut to your recorded width and drop, joined with double-stitched seams in UV-resistant outdoor thread, and treated with a fluorocarbon finish that keeps water beading while the weave stays breathable.

Frequently Asked Questions

A vivid tropical blue — brighter than royal, deeper than sky, closest to the color of clear shallow water in the Caribbean. The dimensional Expand weave moves a little light around the surface, so the panel reads lively rather than flat. It's a statement shade, deliberately.

Small spaces actually carry bold color well — there's less of it, so it reads as an accent rather than an ocean. One calypso bay on a compact pergola delivers the tropics without swallowing the yard. It's full perimeter wraps where you should pause and consider a neutral partner.

Dimension. The textured construction breaks the surface into subtle highs and lows, so sunlight lands unevenly and the blue appears to move like water. A flat weave in this shade would look painted; the Expand surface keeps the color looking like fabric with depth.

They harmonize — pool water shifts constantly between aqua and deep blue, and Calypso sits inside that range. The panel picks up whatever the water is doing and amplifies the vacation effect. Clashing comes from muddy or purple-leaning blues, not from a clean tropical one.

White first — plaster, painted posts, crisp cushions — then sand, driftwood, and warm rattan. Those neutrals give the blue room to be the event. Lime and coral work as small accents, one at a time. Avoid competing saturated blues; they turn the palette into an argument.

Pool cabanas, swim-up bar corners, outdoor showers, and any structure meant to feel like a getaway rather than an extension of the house. Measure the opening, order the drop to skim the deck, and the space converts to resort duty the day the panels arrive.

Love it

Great product

Cover feels substantial and durable

Great covers, just as advertised

Great waterproof material and made to spec.

The material is good quality. The fit is not good, despite their website requiring a number of different measurements. Part of me suspects the website photos were generated by AI, as they’re almost too perfect.

Worth the money

I just received my order. I am very happy with the product.
It fits perfectly. Please let the people who created the cover know; they did a great job.
Here's a picture. I hope the material will last a long time against the sun. Just keep in mind that it does take 4-6 weeks so be very patient unlike me. haha. totally worth it

The tie downs at the corners were not long enough to latch together. Otherwise the build quality was very high.

Highly recommend!

I ordered a right arm love seat cover, left arm love seat cover and an ottoman cover in the higher end fabric. With a discount code, all 3 were a little over $300. The covers are perfect and the quality of the fabric is…..well, let’s just say it’ll probably outlive me! They’re very heavy duty and totally waterproof. Craftsmanship is excellent.

Customer service was A+. I had questions about measuring and some concerns about shipping. I used the chat option for questions about measurements and it was a REAL person, not a bot. He was friendly and personable. They also contacted me to verify some things about my measurements. When I contacted both sales and customer service via email with a question, they responded within hours. They’re constructed in another country and it took about 6 weeks from order to delivery. The delay was FedEx customs.

Bottom line, they are excellent covers at an extremely fair price that fit perfectly, will last forever and are a very friendly, responsive, competent company to work with.
